Generals

We can access all current types of hard drives; laptops, desktops/towers, IDE and SATA.  All we need is the hard drive.

We can get your data transferred from your old system / hard drive .  You can choose where you want the data stored.  If you have another computer for us to transfer the data to, we can load it straight onto your new computer's hard drive.  Or, we can put your data on CD or DVD.  The amount of data recovered helps us decide whether it can go on a CD or needs to be on a DVD.Specialized Data Recovery

We retain a copy of the recovered data for hard drive to hard drive transfers upon request only.

We retain a copy of data burned to CD's and DVD's for 2 weeks past delivery of data media.  You must request in writing, if you want any data stored longer than our 2 week period.  Extra storage time may incur a storage fee, due to limited storage capacity on our network.

Multiple copies of recovered data can be made upon request.  Additional copies of recovered data may be requested as long as the data is still available on our network.  Costs will vary according to time required to make additional copies and disc usage.

In shop services ONLY.

Local customers can call for free pick & delivery of their system or hard drive for data recovery.

Customers not in our local area must call to arrange a paid pick up or to drop ship your computer or hard drive to us.  All shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.  See additional information applicable to drop ship customers on our Drop Ship Repairs page.

Standard Data Recovery

Standard data recovery is defined when your hard drive is completely in tact and accessible through normal methods.

If your hard drive is completely in tact, we can retrieve your data through normal methods.  So even if the rest of your computer doesn't start.  But your hard drive is good, we can do the rest.Go To Top

Standard data recovery is billed at our standard shop rates.  See our Pricing & Policies page for current rates.

Specialized Data Recovery

Specialized data recovery is defined when your hard drive is not completely in tact and / or inaccessible through normal methods.  This can include, but not limited to; viruses, spyware, hard drive crash, software glitches, hard drive failure, bad sectors and cylinders.

We have a very high retrieval rate on damaged hard drives.  Our specialized recovery includes most methods available, just short of a clean room.  We do not operate a clean room due to costs.  However, we are usually able to retrieve within 3% of what a clean room can.  And at a lower rate.

If a forensic report is required, please submit your request in writing to inshop@enhancedideas.comReports are in the form of a computer text log file.  If a hard copy print out is also required please include this in your request.  Include either your email or mailing address if a disk or print out is required.  Disk will be a 3.5 floppy diskette unless otherwise specified.

Depending on the type and extent of the damage will determine the quantity of data recovered.  There are no guarantees on data retrieval on damaged drives.  On drives where no data is retrievable, we have a standard charge of 1 hour.  Even if more time is spent attempting to retrieve data, only 1 hour will be charged, if no data is retrieved.

Sorting recovered files is a long process (1 at a time).  When we find your jpg's, the computer process can't tell the difference between a graphic from an installed program and your camera pictures.  This requires human intervention.  You can sort through your own data or we can do it for you.  Remember to let us know that you would like us to sort the data.  Data sorting is billed at our normal shop rates.  See our Pricing & Policies page for current rates.

Specialized data recovery is billed at our specialized data recovery rates.  See our Pricing & Policies page for current rates.Go To Top
